Review Round up

read

These are the reviews that have caught my eye this week

  • The Iceberg: A Memoir by Marion Coutts

This review by Tessa Hadley in the Guardian is engrossing.  I am very drawn to reading this book for many reasons.

  •  Cider with Rosie by Laurie Lee

Reviewed on the Book Snob blog.  This book has sat on my shelf for far too long.  This lovely review has reminded me I must read it this year.

  • How to Build a Girl by Caitlin Moran

I devoured ‘How to be a Woman’ and always eagerly flick straight to Caitlin Moran’s column in The Times .  As you might expect, there has been lots of coverage in the media this week of ‘How to Build a Girl’. I found these reviews on Blighters Rock and Daisy Chain Book Reviews.  Each of these blogs are new discoveries to me and I’m looking forward to exploring both some more in the next few days.

Whatever you are reading this weekend remember the words of Dr Seuss… “the more that you read the more things you will know” And there can’t be anything wrong with that!

Have a lovely weekend
