Fabulous Christmas Book Gifts

Santa stopped by this Christmas and as always was extremely generous.  I suspect he may have been reading Changing-pages, because he left me some very bookish gifts care of my lovely family

I shall be replacing some of the books currently residing on my coffee table with Letters of Note and Holiday at Home.

I have this beautiful new collection of World War One poetry I shall be reading through and choosing poems to feature in my 2015 Poetically Speaking feature.  This lovely edition of  The London Scene by Virginia Wolf may also provide much blogging inspiration as I read about my beloved London.

I shall be flicking through Lorraine Pascale’s latest offering with a set of sticky notes at my side marking all those dishes I want to read.  I shall also be reviewing it for a planned serious of cookery book reviews in 2015.

I cannot wait to read ‘The Heroes Welcome’ by Lousia Young.  ‘My Dear I Wanted to Tell You was one of my favourite books from 2013 and I have been eagerly awaiting this follow up.  I am lucky enough to have a copy in hardback which always feels delightfully decadent.

However the most aesthetically pleasing book I received was ‘Feary Tales’ by Carol Anne Duffy.  Not only is the cover glorious The book itself is full of beautiful illustrations to complement the fables and stories of faraway lands, wicked witches, evil monsters and brave heroines.

I shall be posting more about all of these books as I read and write my way through 2015, and look forward to sharing all my thoughts with you.
