The Weekend Wander #29 Christmas Films

ChristmasWho doesn’t love a Christmas Film?  I know I do and like most people I have my favourites a few of which I make sure I watch every year.  What makes a great Christmas film for me is one that makes me laugh, cry and feel Christmassy all at once. I make no apologies for the schmaltziness of some of these choices.  I love them all.

Love Actually

My actual favourite.  I have watched this at least once every year since it was released in 2003.  There is nothing about it I do not love.  I cry every time I watch it.  I can recite lines from it and never ever tire of watching it.

The Holiday

I only came to this in the last few years.  A widowed Jude law, a snowy England.  Whats not to like. I watch it every year, on my own and I cry every time.  I have no excuse.

It’s a Wonderful Life

Of course  A Wonderful Life.  This is so sweet and pure sentimental joy to watch

Miracle on 34th Street (1994 version)

I haven’t watched this for a few years now, I hope to remedy that this year.  This makes me feel so Chrsitmassy and doesn’t Richard Attenborough make the best Father Christmas.

The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)

This is a beautiful adaptation of a wonderful book.  Its gorgeous to watch and Mr Tunmus is adorable.

Have a gorgeous weekend X
