September Equals Stationery

Despite leaving school rather a long time ago, I have never quite lost the ‘new term’ feeling that washes over me in September. As a child, a new school year meant new stationery. I clearly remember agonising in Woolworths over exactly which pencil case to buy. Deliberating between a pink furry one that would inevitably become stained from topless felt tip pens, or a cooler plastic one that I would decorate in blue biro with my latest pop band love – usually Duran Duran or Wham.

I have always loved coloured pens, paper and note books. I love the freshness of the blank page. As an adult I still love replenishing stationery supplies, and have a colourful stash of journals waiting to be filled with musings and meanderings. Where some girls will buy a ‘pick me up’ lipstick, I’m more likely to be found in Paperchase buying a ‘pick me up’ coloured pen.

With this in mind, what better way to mark the beginning of another term than with a selection of the stationery  that makes me smile.

I think my favourite is the Cath Kidston Clocks Notebook.
