#BEDM For The Love of Blog

The prompt for todays Blog Every Day in May was ‘Share The Blog Love’.  It doesn’t take long to realise that the blog world is full of love.  In my experience bloggers are friendly souls who encourage one another, are interested in what other bloggers have to say and take the time to make kind and generous comments on each others blog offerings.

I have blogged for a year now; in fact I have just realised I missed my first blog birthday on 2nd May. (Happy Belated Birthday to me).  It took me a while to be brave enough to start blogging.  I read lots of inspiring blogs before I was eventually brave enough to dip my own toe into the blogging waters.  When I started I wasn’t entirely clear where I was going except I knew I wanted my focus to be books and anything with a literary leaning.  Although that’s still a big part of what I blog about,  I’ve realised that owning and creating  blog gives  the freedom to go in any direction  and I love that.

Since the 2nd of May 2014 I have barely looked back.  I LOVE BLOGGING!  It is all I had hoped it would be and more.  I still lack considerably in my technical skills but I so enjoy the creative process and linking up with other bloggers.  Writing is never a chore, in fact I look forward to it.  Now I write about books I read them differently and more appreciatively and I look at every event as a potential blog post!

And so today I want to say a very big THANK YOU to  Claire at Celebrate Creation.  Claire is a friend but also a talented blogger.  Claire inspired me and gave me the gentle push I needed to become a blogger myself.  She told me I could do it, and made me believe that maybe I could.  She has remained a faithful reader of Changing-pages and has continued to encourage me along the way.  Without Claire’s encouragement I may still be procrastinating instead of enjoying everything that blogging has given me.

Claires blog is a  creative lifestyle blog with a focus on life long learning.  Her posts are always inspiring and interesting and I’m always excited by her clever choice of images. And so today, on my belated 1st birthday I encourage you to visit Claire at the lovely Celebrate Creation.
