I come across the poems of Charles Causley last year when one of my lovely readers who also happens to be my mother in law mentioned him in response to a post I had written about this time last year.
Bring in the Holly is, as you might imagine a collection of Christmassy poems. It is beautifully illustrated by Lisa Kopper and is a lovely addition to any Christmas reading. 
The 12 poems explore a different facet of the Christmas season and are a lovely mix of serious and light hearted. Ballad of the Bread Man is one of my favourite poems in the collection and you can hear Charles Causaly reading it here via the Poetry archive.
Although it maybe a little late for Christmas shopping now, this would be a lovely book to bear in mind for next year!
