Hooray for the long weekend and hooray for Spring, which has sprung occasionally during April, if my instagram feed full of flowers is anything to go by! Its been a good if somewhat speedy April. One of the highlights was a trip to a Vintage Classic car boot sale in Kings Cross. It was brimming with stalls selling vintage clothing and homewares and lots of very cool people dressed in some very cool threads. This rainbow of petticoats especially caught my eye. I succumbed to a £10 vintage evening frock, not quite sure where I will wear it but I couldn’t resist!
Its also been a month for getting nice surprises in the post, including this interesting looking novel which was unexpectedly sent to me. I haven’t started it yet, but I will…. I also received my first delivery from My Little Box. I have read quite a lot about monthly subscriptions of various sorts, from stationery (always tempting) to beauty products but hadn’t yet tried one myself. April is my birthday month so as a little birthday treat to myself I signed up for three months with My Little Box. I was very happy with this one and may well write more about it in the future.
I love spring flowers. From the sunshine that comes with a bunch of daffodils, to the perkiness of tulips, to the romance of bluebells, I just love them all. Our garden is full of bluebells at the moment. So far I have resisted picking any to bring inside but I have a hankering for a jug of bluebells on the kitchen window sill so not sure how much longer I’ll resist.
Have a lovely long weekend, and heres hoping for some sunshine amongst the showers.
