Food and Friends
Work has been exceptionaly busy and fraught on occasions so it has been great to have some after work treats to look forward to. Bathing in the after glow of last weekends half marathon I seem to have been exceptionally hungry this week, so catching up with friends over a meal has been particularly joyful.
A Last Minute Exhibition
I managed to catch the ‘Opera, Passion, Power and Politics’ exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum on Friday the day before it closed. I was glad I managed to sneak this in. I am in no way an opera fan but I loved looking at the exhibits with the sound track to many famous operas playing in my ears courtesy of the headset given to accompany the visit
Bread and Cakes
A new bakery has opened in our neighbourhood which is a source of great joy. It sells big doughy cinnamon buns, sourdough bread and crumbly almond croissants. I may have already paid a visit….
