Who could not be joyful when it is a Sunday evening, and there is still another whole day before the working week begins. Throughout my working life as a nurse I have worked numerous bank holidays and weekends, so having a nursing job where I no longer work weekends or bank holidays is total joy!
A Day Trip to Whitstable
This has been the most marvellous summer, and although we haven’t been on a holiday during July or August we have taken advantage of the weather had some lovely days out. Yesterday we caught the train from London to Whitstable. A place which has become a favourite over the years. The weather was bright and breezy, perfect for a good walk, with some bracing sea air, lots of photographs and………..
Fish and Chips on the Beach
Is there anything better than fish and chips by the sea on a beautiful day. Fortunately the seagulls in Whitstable seem less aggressive than in other seaside towns, so we were able to enjoy then without the fear that we were going to be swooped on at any moment by a hungry seabird.
An afternoon of sorting and finally hanging that picture on the wall
In contrast, today has been wet and windy, not a day for venturing far. So after church and coffee with friends we came home and did some much needed sorting of stuff. Getting rid of things whether via the recycling bins or charity shops is always therapeutic don’t you find? We also finally managed to hang the beautiful Yvonne Coomber print I was lucky enough to be given earlier in the year. I can see it from where I write and it is such a happy scene.
If you are lucky enough to have a day of doing what you please tomorrow then enjoy, and have a wonderful rest of the week.
Loved having coffee with you both this morning Angie xxxx
Glad your day by the sea was lovely yesterday xx
