I love the practice of looking back over the week on a Sunday evening and thinking about all the positive things which have happened. Of course, its also good, and important to reflect on the not so good too. But finding reasons to be joyful and grateful as one week ends and another begins is a helpful approach.
As always this wee,k there have been moments of frustration but the moments of joy, have thankfully been greater.
Friends
I write this at the end of a weekend spent with some of our dearest friends. We were celebrating a special birthday (not mine!) and our weekend included lots of delicious food, cocktails, tasting and making, and lots of laughter. I am so grateful for this group of friends. We all live in different parts of the country so don’t see each other as often as we would like, but when we do those times are always guaranteed to be full of joy and fun.
My Cycle Ride to Work
Being outside in some form everyday is so important to me both physically and mentally, and I am grateful I have a job I can cycle to. Despite it being bitterly cold on a few mornings this week I was still able to cycle to work. This is such an integral part of my day. Getting exercise with minimum effort and without it taking any extra time is perfect for me. It is also an excellent way to either prepare for the day ahead, or unwind before I arrive home again.
Autumn Colours (again)
We are now so close to December and yet the glorious colours we have had this Autumn continue. I can barely remember a time when the leaves have stayed on the trees and the colours have been so beautiful this late in the year. The light through the russet reds and ambers was just stunning this evening as we drove home.
Wishing every one a joyful week.
