Review Round Up

Hooray it’s Friday which means it’s time for a round up of some of the reivews I have enjoyed scooting around this week.Scooter

Like most bookish sorts I’m always on the lookout for my next read. As I seem to be down to an alarmingly small ‘To Be Read’ pile beside my bed, I have been especially interested in others bloggers recommendations this week.

These are some of the reviews that have given me that reassuring  tingle of excitement as I plot what my next reading purchases might be.

The Writes of Women one of my recent blog discoveries reviews The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy by Rachel Joyce.

I loved ‘The Unlikely pilgrimage of Harold Fry’ and would love to read Queenies’ side of the story.

Emily Books reviews  ‘Our Spoons Came From Woolworths’ by Barbara Comyns

The wonderful title alone has convinced me I want to read this

Write Meg describes ‘The Book of Unknown Americans’ by Christina Henriquez as ‘a powerful tale filled with memorable characters, heartbreaking narratives and incredible depth’. That sounds like a book for me

Happy book reading, book purchasing or dreaming of either xx
