The Weekend Wander #35 Easter

I love Easter for many reasons.  Unlike Christmas there is a lot less pressure; the weather is generally better (although not so good here right now); It is always a 4 day weekend; there are hot cross buns (the marmalade variety from M&S are my current faves) and its perfectly acceptable to eat chocolate for breakfast.  Of course its an important celebration in the Christian calendar too!

With all of this in mind I bring you a small selection of things you may want to do this Easter Weekend

  • Search for blossom, its definitely out there and a sure sign spring is springing
  • Eat Hot cross buns for Breakfast. Every day.
  • Make Easter cornflake nests to give to the small people in your life or maybe just eat them yourself
  • Add a little bit of Easter decoration to your home.  Bowls of foil covered chocolate eggs and round tissue paper fans from Tiger are my decoration of choice.
  • Fill your home with  Daffodils.  At £1 a bunch they are a bargain and a guaranteed burst of sunshine
  • Go to a service at your local church.  Easter Sunday Morning is a lovely celebratory time.
  • Make Nigellas Easter Chocolate Cake. Guaranteed chocolate deliciousness.
  • Go to the cinema and watch to see The Peter Rabbit Movie
  • Take a walk – you’ll need to after all the hot cross buns and chocolate!

Whatever your weekend plans, I hope you have a happy time X
