Day 6 – Kew Bookshop

We are heading to South West London today and leafy Kew. There are lots of pretty doors in this little corner of London and many of them surround The lovely Kew Bookshop.  When I open this door I am greeted with a cheery smile and a hello and feel immediately welcome.  This is a shop filled not just with books but with genuine warmth too.

When I think about Kew Bookshop I think of a shop filled with colour. The windows are always beautifully dressed but at Christmas they look especially pretty with fairy lights and Christmas Trees.  This is a shop it would be very hard to pass by without popping in.

The shelves are packed with well known and lesser known authors and you can always find plenty of new releases. I struggle to buy books for teens but when visiting here recently was very impressed by the range of possibilities.  Being so close to Kew Gardens you will also find a bevy of Kew related and gardening books.  The range of greeting cards  is really good, and at Christmas there are so many really well curated Christmas cards to choose from.

The shop is open 7 days a week so if you happen to be visiting the Sunday Market it’s a lovely little bonus place to visit too.  It is also very conveniently located next to Kew Station so very easy to get to and from.

Nearest Tube Station: Kew Gardens
