Day 11: Christmas Wreaths

Day 11 Christmas Wreaths

Christmas wreath watch. It’s a real thing. Early in December London’s finest neighbourhoods begin to adorn themselves in their festive finery.  Large glossy Georgian doors, flanked by porches and pillars become showcases for Christmas creativity.

As festive decoration in some of London’s busiest streets and most popular places have become increasingly flamboyant, so have the decorations people choose to decorate their own homes and especially their front doors with.

If you want some inspiration for your own door dressings or if you simply want to stand and admire, some of the best dressed doors in London,  neighbourhoods such as Notting Hill and South Kensington, Chelsea and Richmond all have lots of streets where you will find some of the prettiest and certainly some of the most extravagant door decor London has to offer.  Many of these homes them don’t just stop at the Christmas wreath, entrances will be draped in evergreen garlands and twinkly lights too.

Whatever your taste in door decoration, natural greenery, dried flowers and fruit, bright berries, ribbons and bows or glitzy baubles and kitsch you will be sure to find it all during December in London.
