Day 20 – Bookcase Chiswick
Back to Chiswick today a short walk across the high street from Foster Books takes us to the open door of Bookcase London. Bookcase London is a local Chiswick bookstore which over the years has expanded its stock and grown from being a place to find discounted books to a shop filled with interesting titles covering a range of genres
There are still many bargains to be had here and it is worth spending time scouring the display tables and well organised shelves for unexpected discoveries. The selection of children’s titles is impressive and I have often made this my first stop when buying books for small children. The book shop is well known for their blind date with a book, and a good selection is always on display outside the shop. Since 2022 the shop has expanded and now houses a record shop in the basement too.
This a bookshop for regulars and locals and it is a shop which has a loyal band of local followers. If you are a West London book lover and have never visited Bookcase London, this is another bookshop to add to your list
